Jenny and I have been reading Brennan Manning who is well known for his book, “The Ragamuffin Gospel” His latest book called, ” The furious longing of God” starts off with the chapter called Genesis. He explains about a Jesuit priest who encouraged him to read a passage in the Song of Solomon: “I am my Beloved’s and His desire is for me” and then goes on to tell how this passage has had a real impact on his life.
In another of his books, “The Signature of Jesus” he takes a quote from Blaise Pascal – “God made man in his own image and man returned the compliment.”
This clip will encourage and warm your heart and it will be worth reading the books if you come across them.
