THE BLESSING OF TOGETHERNESS

1. What are the keys to continuing freshness in your love relationship with the Lord Jesus?

In no particular order -

Hearing and reading clear expositions of the Scriptures
Prayer
Group study participation
Discussions and personal reading
Participation in Evangelical outreach

2. What do you experience of the Holy Spirit’s speaking and leading in your every day life?

Admonitions and heightened conscience

3. Can you describe your everyday communication with God? Has this changed much since you first gave your life to Christ?

Certainly increased, with quick prayer at any time.

4. What is worship to you these days? How does it play a part in your everyday life?

Worship is becoming broader for me with a greater awareness of the motivation behind action.

5. What is your experience of blessings and disappointments in your relationship with other believers?

As a relatively recent believer: A blessing of togetherness when with other believers.

An early disappointment was to find that Christians can stumble – even though I had accepted this at an intellectual level. Finally, looked inside myself to find the answer!

6. What is your present understanding of local church life, leadership and structure?

Though not always in full agreement with this, I basically have no serious problem.

7. What 2 or 3 things have become increasingly important to you over the period since you first trusted in the Lord?

Growing appreciation of the power of prayer and consequently the Holy Spirit (or have I reversed this!) and our impotence without God’s power.

8. What 2 or 3 things have become quite unimportant/ meaningless/ valueless to you since God ‘turned your life around’?

‘World Affairs’, petty differences and trivialities.

9. At the present time, what is your main area of desire, concern or aspiration?

Increased awareness of the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
