Visitors

There will be times when we will look at books and carry out interviews as well as have visitors share something with us that they are learning from the Father. We are going to be looking at some books to start off that will bring clarity and encouragement to those who have abandoned the well worn ways of traditional and organized church life to follow the Master.

"A God Filled Nobody" - John Beaumont

This is a book about the grace of God at work in the life of one of His sons. We have known John & Mary for over twenty five years and honour their walk with Jesus. In this book, John shares heart warming experiences of God's grace in his own life and ministry over the years. He writes of first hand participation in revival out - pouring and audaciously gives insights into a lifestyle that is even better than that, by the mercies of the God of all grace.

A God-Filled NobodyHere is a segment of the excellent foreward to this book, written by Stan Firth. "I have just finished indulging in a huge feast. The table was groaning with goodies and I sampled everything! Instead of feeling overfed and lethargic, however, I feel greatly invigorated. In fact, I feel slimmed down for action. I was running a race and I know I am all the more ready to continue."

"In these 'memoirs' John has, as it were provided us with a banquet - a table laden with his recollections from many parts of the world. I have feasted at this table with great pleasure and I know that I am stronger; and spiritually fitter, as a result. There is no doubt whatsoever in my mind that many Christian people, across the globe are going to be richly blessed as they read the pages ahead."

Stan Firth

"As I studied the books picturesque cover and title I concluded it was not going to be a theological text to be marked out of 100, but, the unveiling of a life fashioned by the Lord. Not far into its reading it occured to me...........an alternative (not better) title may have been, 'The Song of a Soul Set Free' The Holy Spirit has borne you along soaring faithwaves and allowed you a unique ministry. Praise God for its recurring theme - 'The Grace of God' "

Malcolm Miles

"It's a treasure of inspiration, challenge and provocation to live in revelation and that higher walk of the Spirit"

Michael Conrathe

"Custom & Command" - Stan Firth

Custom and CommandThis is a very well laid out book which will provoke those with honest questions about Church as we see it today. It provides encouragement from the Scriptures for an unusual breed of Christians - with some answers for those who might feel critical of them. Here is a tantalizing look at the first paragraph of the book to whet your appetite.

An Unstructured Church - Lifestyle

Over the last five years I have been increasingly coming across something quite new in my Christian experience: believers who are indisputably enthusiastic about Jesus Christ, and about serving Him in the world, but who no longer 'go to church' They have given up the practice of regular corporate worship and are not engaged in the usual church activities. It is impossible, however, to catagorise them as 'backsliders' for they continue in their personal devotion to Christ, and seem to display the generally accepted characteristics of Christian discipleship - except in the whole area of church life...

If you would like copies of this excellent book please go to the website www.lulu.com and type 'Custom and Command' in the SEARCH box in the top right hand corner.

We have been very fortunate that Stan has given his permission for his book to be made available on this site in pdf format. Please feel free to download and share this excellent book.

The Pilgrim Path - Jack Gray

We have come across this wonderful website, which we would highly recommend to you. The Pilgrim Path is a site for those who are seriously wrestling with questions such as these:

1. What is Church as God desires it to be?

2. What do I have to do to be in His Church?

3. Why am I dissatisfied with the institutional church I am presently a member of?

4. Can I truly be a follower of Jesus outside institutional church?

5. What do the Scriptures really teach about Church?

Here you will find what one follower of Jesus has learned on his life-long journey on the pilgrim path of discipleship. I share these things with the deep desire and prayer that my discoveries may be of help and encouragement to other pilgrims on the "narrow way that leads to life."

Lifestream - Wayne Jacobsen

We met Wayne in Ireland in 2004 and enjoyed a brief time of fellowship together. We look forward to more at some point with him and his wife Sara. He has a way with articulating "the way" - that is a gift, and we want to share this gift with you at Lifestream. Their site is very encouraging and honest! Here is a brief introduction to the site.

Our passion is to live deeply in the fullness of the life Jesus came to offer us in His Father's House and to encourage others to do the same. Specifically, we seek to encourage people -

- To embrace an ever deepening affection with the Living God based on His work in you, not your self effort for Him

- To cultivate healthy Church life where Jesus has first place in everything and where believers are free to share His life together.

- And to live simply as a reflection of His glory where ever in the world He has planted you.

"He Loves Me!" - Wayne Jacobsen

A book well worth reading which will warm the heart and encourage you in getting to know just how loved you are! You can download a copy for your own use or email Wayne and purchase a copy. "He Loves Me!"

"He LovesMe!"He loves me! He loves me not!

Do you find yourself picking through your circumstances, like children plucking daisy petals, trying to figure out if God loves you? Are you least certain of his love in those desperate moments when you most need to trust it? Here is the hope you need.

This compelling book opens up God's heart as you've never seen it before. You will see him working throughout history and in your own journey to convince you just how much you're loved and you will experience what really happened between the Father and his Son on the cross that forever secured your place in his heart.

Once you know the Father's tenderness your fears of falling short of his expectations will melt away. For the fear of the Lord was only the beginning of wisdom. His incredible love fulfills it. Those who don't love Him are well served to fear Him. But once you learn to live loved by Him, you will never need to fear Him again.

You will discover...

  • that the Father loves you more than you ever dreamed.
  • how to walk in the friendship he desires with you every day.
  • why the cross offers undeniable proof of his affection for you.
  • that your confidence in his love is the key to everything God wants to do in you.
  • how to thrive in trusting God even in your darkest days.
