Walking Simply!

1.What are the keys to continuing freshness in your love relationship with the Lord Jesus?

Actively and with intention, seeking to walk as Romans 12 says. “Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him.” This is what I am aiming for.

2. What do you experience of the Holy Spirit’s speaking and leading in your every day life?

I aspire to experiencing a tangible and abiding presence and revelation and wisdom which is not of me.

3. Can you describe your everyday communication with God? Has this changed much since you first gave your life to Christ?

. I enjoy being able to chat with Father in an intimate and relaxed way.

4. What is worship to you these days? How does it play a part in your everyday life?

This is harder for me.  I am deeply moved by worship that I can connect with.  I enjoy being alone with God, connected to an ipod or CD.  I know I have a whole lot more to learn so that I can really be a day by day worshipper who pleases God in everything.

5. What is your experience of blessings and disappointments in your relationship with other believers?

There often seems to be a lack of fellowship opportunity in a lifestyle with time constraints and obligations that prevent relaxed times together. It is a blessing to having a handful of spiritually mature friends with whom I can share my life.

6. What is your present understanding of local church life, leadership and structure?

I gravitate towards brothers and sisters who exhibit the qualities of “eldership and leadership” in a non-churchy way.  This kind of person demonstrates a mature and intimate relationship with the Lord Jesus.

7. What 2 or 3 things have become increasingly important to you over the period since you first trusted in the Lord?

Living in the balance of grace and faith is important to me now. I am developing and increased confidence in the Lord even in mundane things. I have a growing excitement about eternity here and now as well as for ever..

8. What 2 or 3 things have become quite unimportant/ meaningless/ valueless to you since God ‘turned your life around’?

Trying to change other people – Earning God’s favour through personal effort – Religious Arguments

9. At the present time, what is your main area of desire, concern or aspiration?

I aspire to walk simply, daily, intentionally with Jesus until I do not become distracted by earthly things.
