We have been given permission by John to make his books available to you on this website. Most, if not all of the books are now out of print and because of the richness of the life shared in these pages we felt that they deserved a broad and new medium through which to make these available to you.
We have been privileged to know John & Mary over the last twenty five years and are grateful to Jesus for the godly input we have received as a result of our friendship. They have lived their lives as ‘God-filled nobodies’ and touched the hearts of so many people across the globe while travelling. They now live in Christchurch, New Zealand. ‘The Riselles’ New Adventures,’ follows on from the book ‘The Riselles’ Big Adventure.’ It is the gripping story of an ordinary family who experience extraordinary adventures. Could this be because they have simple faith in an extraordinary God and are willing to go beyond a ‘safe,’ staid and predictable humdrum kind of life in response to His inward promptings?
It seems clear that the Riselles know God as the Great Adventurer who calls His followers to see all of life as an adventure in walking with Him, regardless of cost or consequence.
The book has an underlying challenge for its readers to enjoy their own Big Adventure by determining to please God and give Him priority in every aspect of life. We can see that enjoying His close companionship day by day makes it worthwhile forgoing self-centred comfort, ease and pleasure. Do those things ever really satisfy, anyway?
Here is a book that young and old will enjoy, regardless of whether they know God personally or not. You’ll be glad you read it!
